How to install a Skyseal Flat Glass rooflight

Prepare the weathered upstand in accordance with the requirements on Page 1 of our Installation Guide.

Install roof covering to cover side and top of insulated upstand in accordance with manufacturer's installation recommendations. Ensure the top surface is level with no excessive buildup of layers.

Apply the expanding foam tape around the top inside edge of upstand.

Apply the mastic/silicone 25mm from the outside edge of the upstand.

Place the glass unit squarely onto the upstand. Ensure there is equal overhang on all sides.

Place plastic packers to fill the gap between the frame and the upstand at the screw holes. Use sufficient number of packers to fill cavity. Place the packers methodically to ensure rooflight remains squarely positioned on the upstand.

Screw in the supplied unit fasteners through the snapcap washers and plastic packers. Fill any remaining gaps with packers before screwing in fasteners.

Fit snapcaps over the head of each fastener.

The completed Skyseal Flat Glass comes with a 10 year warranty and requires very little maintenance, other than periodic cleaning.
